Typical Liam Neeson revenge movie with a bit of dark comedy thrown in. This time it's drug dealers who killed his son. The director helped out the ratings board by keeping a running roster of the body count, giving us name, nickname, and religion of each dead guy. There was a surprising, but ultimately pointless gay relationship between two of the main villain's henchmen. Laura Dern is in this movie, playing Neeson's wife, but they could have just as easily made him divorced or a widower and it wouldn't have mattered. She left him about a third of the way through the film for some unknown reason. She literally left him a note with nothing written on it, like that was supposed to have some sort of deep meaning. She was not missed. Honestly, Liam Neeson must be getting tired of doing Taken over and over again.
