Jane Ann Krentz does odd characters well. Jack’s main reason for living is to track down the man who killed his mother. To stay busy, he researches cold cases and writes books. He is seriously attracted to Winter Meadows, a former child of the foster care system who used her skills as a hypnotist to get out of sticky situations mostly touched off by men. You get the picture. Winter is attracted to Jack from the first. The bad guy attempts to kill Winter, and the game is on.
I was glad they finally got the bad guy.
