It was an interesting read. By the end the narrator's egotism was really grating, but that's a psychopath for you. Or is it? Clearly the writer didn't do a lot of research into the psychological condition of their character, because he has many reoccurring traits and feelings that a true psychopath or sociopath would NOT have. Source: I studied behavioral psychology for years at the collegiate level. The author clearly wanted a really edgy, psychologically insane character a la Patrick Bates in American Psycho, but they didn't quite know how to pull it off. And the wife was a bit pathetic at the end, marrying pretty much the next man who looked at her funny. Completed 2/23/18.
