I swear her writing is getting worse. Show, don't tell! And get someone to read the conversations aloud with you so they don't sound as stilted. Meanwhile Lake Eden continues as the murder capital of Minnesota - at least this book had some sympathy for the victim (unlike some of the earlier ones where it was "oh he's dead? Oh well, let's bake.") As per usual it's a cliffhanger ending, although the central murder of this book really did not hang together well as a result of being a backdrop to the cliffhanger of the previous book. Hannah and her sisters continue to eat approximately 3000 calories per day, live on four hours sleep and drink gallons of coffee while being (shock, horror) a couple of pounds overweight. Mike and Norman continue to be hung up on Hannah, although I suspect they are using her as a beard to hide their own relationship (given Lake Eden is the whitest, straightest town in Minnesota I can see why). The cookies sound nice, although I continue to mentally cut the sugar by up to two thirds - I suspect half the town is on the verge of developing type 2 diabetes given how many they eat. And yet I keep reading because they are so silly.
