Bob's wife says: I didn't care for the narrator's reading of the child's dialogue. Everything was said with either a lisp or a whine. Maybe this was intended to underscore Allison's impression of the situations but it drove me nuts. As for the story itself I found it pretty worthwhile and I'm certain that Allison's story could apply to many women today, even if you've never used drugs to cope, you can likely relate to the struggle to be all things to all people. I did find the middle section where her addiction deepens dragged on too long and the final stages of the story were too short and rather rushed.
