Barry is a working-class cop assigned to protect the queen's youngest son, a new student at Cambridge University. Grace is an American exchange student both men fall in love with. One of the worse movies I have ever tried to watch. And I couldn't understand all the animosity, the anger shown against the prince; from what I have seen, and for some strange reason, the British seem to be absolutely mad in love with their royal family... Penry-Jones was not yet the gorgeous man he became and at times looked/sounded like a 10 year-old kid. I must agree with lavoduth that Miss Fitzgerald is ludicrous as an American--first, her ridiculous accent, second, she looks too old for the part. (It seems Brits have not the slightest idea how Americans talk or act.) Silly movie.

Absolutely nothing to do with the musical of the same name. A bit of a mash-up of "The Prince and the Pauper," "Educating Rita," "Cyrano de Begerac," and any college based rom-com you care to name. Fairly weak plot, and a rather ambiguous ending.

This movie was a disappointment. Although amusing in places, it didn't fully realize its potential. I enjoyed the setting at Cambridge University and the gradual realization that comes to the bodyguard's character as he tags along with the prince to his classes. Some other aspects of the film could have been developed better, especially the Cyrano de Bergerac angle. Tara Fitzgerald, usually a very reliable actress, did have a horrible time trying to sound like an American.

truely horrible. though the way tara fitzgerald portrays an american student may be worth a laugh, she sounds like a some old new york women trapped in the body of a young person.
