i love the movie

GOOD 2011 4th element of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series which has 5 films. It didn't engage me as much as earlier films in the series, and for me the 'story' was a little weak since I had a hard time remembering all the details of the previous films and how the various characters fit in. Likely it works 'better' for younger viewers.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides was a pretty good movie; however, for me, it was lacking. I missed Elizabeth and Will from the previous movies, along with their dynamic with Jack, and wasn’t a big fan of the new characters introduced. Jack Sparrow, as always, did not disappoint, and the plot itself was interesting; but it wasn’t as entertaining as the first three films. With that being said, the search for the fountain of youth was a fresh and creative spin, and was an overall enjoyable storyline. I would still recommend this movie, although it isn’t superb in comparison to others in the franchise. 3/5

Pirates of the Caribbean series is wonderful for nearly 13 hours of binge watching (much more if one cares to check out the bonus features.)
The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) 2h 23m ★★★★½
Dead Man's Chest (2006) 2h 31m - ★★★★
At World's End (2007) 2h 49m - ★★★★
Two more add-ons are:
On Stranger Tides (2011) 2h 17m - Jack's old flame Angelica (Penélope Cruz) is the new female pirate and her dad, captain of the Queen Anne's Revenge, Blackbeard (Ian McShane) is Jack's new rival.
Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) 2h 33m

Commented earlier on Oct 28, 2013

Pleasantly surprised that the negative press was overly critical. It was humorous, great stunts, romance (cliche pirate style), nice production design and legends. Glad that I decided to watch it against the reviews (33% rating at Rotten Tomatoes.)

Pretty good, in an okay way. It's definently a Pirates movie, but it feels kind of lacking.

Great music score! Love pirate stories as I am a descendant of Captain Morgan! Another enjoyable “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie.

Rated 7/10. Good, but not as good as previous stories.

This movie was okay but "Dead Man Tell No Tales" redeemed it.

(PS. "Dead Man Tell No Tales" was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

90 good ones in IMDb including this one:

Jack Sparrow: I may have had... briefly, mind you... stirrings.

Gibbs: Stirrings?

Jack Sparrow: Stirrings.

Gibbs: What, like feelings, you mean?

Jack Sparrow: No, no, no, no, not quite all the way to feelings. More like... All right feelings, damn you.

Jack Sparrow: Clergyman, on the off chance that this does not go well for me, I would like it noted here and now that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, so that I may be welcomed into that place where all the "goody-goodies" get to go. Savvy?

Angelica said, "We cannot trust him." Jack goes behind her a shakes his as if 'no, you can't.'

3rd quote:
Jack just stranded Angelica on the island and Angelica says:
"Jack, just admit it. You love me."
