While informative and includes some of the most famous names in Beckett criticism, there is a certain sameness to the essays. Most make very similar points, refer to the same elements of the play, and quote the same few lines to establish their points, implicitly reducing the supposed open ended richness of Godot to the same few notes. And everyone seems to agree that no matter how many thematics are, no matter how firmly, established that the play is somehow uninterpretable. It does lay out many of the important issues re this now classic of drama and literature and is very worth the read.
