This book always makes me cry when I read it. It is about Jack a senior dog who is adopted from a shelter by a boy and his family. As the boy grows Jack of course increases in age seven fold. This picture book is written so well drawn with beautiful illustrations and conveys deep issues so well. It is a large picture book and the emotions of Jack and the boy are lovingly depicted. It is a perfect book to discuss aging in dogs and people as well as grieving and death. An incredible tribute to all dogs and children who love them.
