A well-crafted entertaining thriller with a good story.

Mediocre. Not too exciting.

For us this was an enjoyable movie in spite of what a few others thought. Early part of the plot was a bit weak but ended up liking the ending. Liam at age 69 still does a fine job of acting. If you have watched some of his other movies and found them likeable then for sure check this one out you will not be disappointed.

Entertaining and unpredictable, especially the bad guy's escalating bad and scary behaviour. Liam Neeson is still enjoyable to watch. I liked the story and the fact that the script demonstrated real feelings of love in a quiet respectful way. Some comments about the hospital scene stated it's not possible in real life to wheel somebody out. I disagree. I was visiting a sick relative in a hospital recently on two different wards. Security was either looking at his/her cell phone or not there at all. One factor I did find unbelievable is the swift recovery of Annie. This movie doesn't waste time on details you don't need to see.

I picked up Honest Thief knowing full well that it had gotten a 39% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I'm not sure why I was still surprised by how dumb it was.

Friends, this is indeed a 39%-good film. Or, put another way, this is a 61%-bad film. (Math!)

The actors are trying their best but the plot drags and the fight scenes are just ridiculous. Recommend rewatching Taken instead.

Excellent. Its hard to survive with corrupt FBI. I thought the girl friend was dead.

Not the most memorable film. The story is decent enough and the acting too. It is worth the watch. I always enjoy watching Liam Neeson. His characters are full, honest and have strong objectives. Good supporting cast as well.

Please don't waste your time on this. I deeply regret watching it, as this is approximately 1 hr 40 min of my life wasted that I'm never getting back. The movie's biggest, but sadly not the only, issue is with the plot. This is one of the laziest script-writing instances ever. The whole plot mainly consists of plot holes (pun intended). These plot holes are so huge you could walk a herd of elephants thru them. And the lazy screenwriters don't even bother with covering their laziness! For example, (spoiler alert) at one point the protagonist decided to secretly get his girlfriend out of the hospital. How is it shown in the movie? He walks into her hospital room, tells her we need to get out of here... and the next scene we see is the two of them in his hotel room. We're supposed to believe that nobody in the entire hospital noticed a patient being "secretly" walked out? And why should we believe that that's possible, if even the screenwriters didn't believe it possible themselves, so they quickly cut to the hotel room? And the whole movie is just like that. Terrible, just plain terrible. Even Liam Neeson is terrible in it too, showing the emotional depth of a cardboard box. My only guess is that once he signed the contract and got the money, he decided not to waste any acting on this sad excuse of a movie.

This was an okay movie to do away with 2 hours of your time. Interesting premise, but otherwise, pretty standard fare. People don’t seem to lock their cars (how convenient), car chases and crashes where only the other guy gets hurt, obvious “wiser” decisions somehow never considered, etc.

Agent Meyers stole the show; chat with Agent Baker about Tazzie:

Ain't that Theresa's dog?
-Used to be.
What does that mean?
- The divorce, it went through. It's official. She got the house and I got Tazzie.
Did you even want Tazzie?
-But her freakin' lawyer was asking for everything. The house, the two cars, the few stocks we own. So I started asking for everything. The judge was rational, cut everything down in the middle, except for the house and the dog. And she preferred the house.
Agent Meyers stole the show; his ex-wife calls and wants the dog:

You can't do that! Tazzie needs me.
-You don't even know how to take care of Tazzie!
- You're crazy!
Theresa. Theresa. She's doing just fine.
-No. No!
No, no, you heard the judge. You made your choice. Well, that was the deal. She's my dog. You can't have her back. Goodbye.
