A totally unbelievable plot, but it keeps you interested. I would have call ed the police early on in the movie or drive to the police station.

No problem with the violence. The problem is with he plot. How stupid can a police force be? And really, is she superwoman who can take the beating he gave her without needing a hospital??

Ignoring the graphic, relentless & almost entirely gratuitous violence in this movie, you're left with an awful script, poorly acted & the flimsiest of plots.

An hour and a half of garbage only rewarded by the hilarity of its ridiculous ending when, having had their lives threatened all day by Russell Crow's cartoonish, indestructible psycho, witnessing multiple gruesome murders & sickening injuries to family and friends as well as bystanders, only to be released after a cursory chat with inexplicably hitherto-absent cops, the woman and her young son lightheartedly enjoy a joke on their drive home as if none of it happened. If only I could feel the same.

Don't waste your time.

This movie actually made me loathe both the character he portrays as well as Russell Crowe, the actor. If I want to watch violence unleashed, let's have some real depth in the script and story at least. Road rage is, I think, supposed to be a short-lived burst. This character's inner serial killer was let loose. If I'm going to watch that kind of storyline, give me Hannibal Lecter.

Russell Crowe had put on so much weight I hardly recognized him. The ordeal with cell phones was a stretch. Crowe played a monster. Opening scene with the fire may leave you puzzled. Movie too brutal for me and kept me on the edge of my seat.

One hell of a crazy ride, but overdoing it! You definitely need a willing suspension of disbelief.
This drama appears quite similar to the 1971 Spielberg-directed "Duel", which seems much better.

Absolutely awful. I'm not bashing it because of violence but only because it's simply a lousy movie. It does feature Russell Crowe doing his very best psychotic John Goodman impression which is good for a laugh. He even put on weight to do it.

Consider this movie a cautionary tale. For example, the motor vehicle branch could show this film as part of a driver's license qualification, or a viewer might be motivated to reconsider how to act out his/her frustrations in traffic, or to even reconsider the concept of need v greed in divorce settlements. The actors are unknowns. It's as if the casting for each role is meant to be a "type" not a particular individual. To me the character of the son quietly "gets" it but has no power while the character of the mother doesn't "get" reality and abuses her power. King Size Russell Crowe is almost unrecognizable in his fearless and believable portrayal of a lost man and the damage done. Hard to imagine anyone else portraying this role so brilliantly. His character does not ask for sympathy. This character has not been heard. Hard to watch but worth watching because of the ideas dealing with anger and entitlement and even the ability to stop and listen with empathy, civility and kindness. This film makes you think. It's not "all about you" but it is, in the end, all about you. Lose civility and gain uncivilized chaos.

Wow! Over the top brutal. Not your average road rage movie. Russel Crowe did a good acting job.

He's road-raging you.
-You could say that.
You want me to call the cops?
-Nah, that'll take all day.
I've been chewed up, used up and spat out. So I think "fuck it," Fred. I'll make my contribution this way, through violence and retribution. 'Cause that's all I got left.
You know what a courtesy tap is, young man?
Mom: Just ignore him.
Sounds like this. It's light. It's friendly. Just like you're trying to get somebody's attention. I'm sure that's what your mom meant. Is that right, ma'am? Is a courtesy tap what you meant?
Mom: No, it's not.
Why is that?
Mom: The light was green, and you weren't moving. ... Some of us have places to be.
Yeah, I admit to being a little zoned out back there. I've been kind of having a hard time lately.
Mom: Yeah, well, join the club.
We seem to have developed a fundamental inability to apologize to anyone, for anything. I don't even think you really know what a bad day is. But you're gonna find out.
