This is an excellent read. I loved the combining of the Atlee Pine and John Puller protagonists. The twists and turns will keep one moving along. Great book.

Really enjoy the combination of Atlee Pine and Puller (characters from two different series). They work well together and make for a intriguing storyline. Throw in 2 apparently different storylines and find a way to meld them together makes for one interesting drama. It constantly kept me guessing. Just when Pine and Puller seemed to get somewhere, the rug gets pulled from under them. I liked the way they found a way to "win". When the 2 storylines were pulled apart at the very end, it was kind of a let down but a great read.

I would echo bgibson's comments. The first two Atlee Pine books were good. This third one, still on the search for twin Mercy, is cluttered with a unbelievable plot. The search for Mercy seems to have gotten lost in the process.
Recommend "cheating" and going to near the end of the book where it goes back to the search for Mercy and provides a pretty good summary.
I found this third book not worth the trouble to read and a big disappointment.

Ugh. The core storyline of Pine searching for her sister holds together well, and I've enjoyed the earlier Puller series. However, the story that brings Pine and Puller together is too far a stretch for me. That aspects just falls into the category of grand conspiracy where the conspirators aren't terribly bright and it's a wonder they pulled it off at all.

This is by far my favorite novel in this series, and one of the best of David Baldacci's novels. The author ties multiple stories of chasing drug dealers doing business out of Fort Dix, an Army base, high level corruption in the federal government, blackmail, multiple murders, and FBI agent Atlee Pine still trying to track down information that will lead her to her twin sister, Mercy, and possibly her mother. Throw in military investigator John Puller and his brother and you end up with a book that is really hard to put down. I thought the interaction between Atlee Pine and John Puller - leads of different series of Baldacci books was much better done than his previous book where he tried to create interaction between John Puller and Amos Decker, which just simply didn't work. In this book, both characters are very driven to "get their man" and can definitely "kick ass and take names." The case links between the two seemed a little bit gray but I still thought the overall story was well done.

Have read all of his books and have never been disappointed. Another winner.

I would love to read this but am eagerly awaiting the downloadable audio book.
