Good job creating a new story. DwayneJ & KevinH fell out of character & lost their new characters. I found the previous story more funny. Looking fwd to another sequel!

Two of the most common and biggest mistakes part-2 films can make (the original RWilliams Jumanji being a stand-alone and stand-out film) is either rehashing the first film or going too far making the part-2 flick bigger and not actually better (ex. the Pirates Of The Caribbean films). Jumanji The Next Level made neither of these mistakes and is true to its subtitle -- capturing the fun and originality of the first film and took this one to 'the next level'. Bringing in the Divito and Glubber characters brought a whole new dimension both for affecting the story and for the actors. I thought this was a lot of fun -- I wasn't worried about re-watching the original film, but now I want to watch both back2back.
*HOWEVER* I thought the male/female genitalia jokes were absolutely unnecessary to the story and brought it down with base humor cheapening the film .... when did the humor-hack Mike Myers get to give input on the script?!?

You will love it if you are twelve years old, & snicker at all the lame genitalia jokes.
Every plot line is repeated multiple times just in case you are a tad slow. (not PC ?)
This is what mainstream entertainment has sunk to ... yeah, for 12 yr-olds.
Remember the original ? This is an abomination.

Funny, mindless entertainment - loved it!

Watched more than once. Quite entertaining even if it loses some of it's appeal as the "old guy" jokes wear on. The camaraderie of the actors for the sequel is still enjoyable.

Entertaining at best , Not as good as the first one .

The movie is fun, not suspenseful, predictable. Overall it is entertaining.

A long setup but worth the wait when the game reboots and brings in good special effects with spectacular backdrops (Fortress Mountain-Alberta, Hawaii and Imperial Sand Dunes-SoCal.) Unlike its prequel, it is less serious on the “Who you are... in this moment in time, and who you want to be... You get one life" philosophical department, and capitalizes on the comical body switching of characters with distinctive mannerism, looks, gender, linguistic style, race, age and abilities. Just imagine Kevin Hart or Awkwafina talking like Danny Glover who speaks calmly and slowly. LOL!

A funny sequel to the first two Jumanji films. Spencer chooses to enter the game again and his friends must follow him to save Jumanji (and themselves) once more. But there are a couple of curve balls in the mix this time around!

So funny!! Just as good as the other one. So glad they kept the same people. 👍

IMDb has some quotes. Missing are those on grandpas:

What are you doing? Grandpa.
- What's it look like?
Who are you? You're Spencer's grandfather.
- Yeah, no kidding.
So, what exactly are we looking for again?
-We're looking for my grandson, genius.
Okay, "Follow the flame to the desert fruit."
That ain't Spencer. Look, I know my grandson. My grandson's a guy.
What happened?
-My grandpa beat up 45 strangers.
It's a Jumanji berry, and it weighs like 100 pounds.
-My grandpa will carry it.
No, Grandpa Eddie, that's Switchblade! I'm telling you, there's a time when you run.
-Then there's a time in life, like now, where you stay...
Your grandpa beats the hell out of the wrong guy or we get attacked by a bear, what am I supposed to do?
