The manga is great, the artwork is also good(with a few subtle differences from the anime) and the overall story is very intriguing, with a cliff hanger at the end of it. there are few differences from the book and the show, particularly in the artwork(as stated earlier) and the events that take place and when(the begining is shown as flashback unlike the show). The characters are very interesting too: Eren, a boy who's mother was devoured by a titan and he seeks revenge, Mikasa a girl who looks after Eren as her only family, and Armin, a boy who is weak, but highly intellegent and admits his faults. If you like the show, or are planning to read this first, I highly reccomend you read this Manga as it explains things left out in the anime and is worth it if you're a die-hard fan of the franchise.

If you're a fan of the show, I highly recommend reading the manga! Much of it is similar, but there are some interesting details that are only in the books. Plus, the manga is ahead of the anime in terms of plot, so if you're desperate to find out what will happen in Season 3, this is how you can find out!

Even if you haven't seen the show, this series is a phenomenal read. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you can handle some horror, it's well worth it. The titans are terrifying, and the depictions of them eating people are quite graphic--I can't look at meat the same way anymore. If you're thinking of becoming a vegetarian, this series might just give you the last push you need.

The truly compelling thing about this series is the mystery surrounding the origins of the titans. If you love to speculate, Attack on Titan provides plenty of little clues about the characters' hidden secrets. This series is perfect for readers who like to comb through the details and theorize about where the story is headed.

I found this series (unfinished, currently on volume 22) at times a little convenient for the plot, but that being said, there is a lot of realism/coherence in the plot. Character development is great, though some details are left out leaving us to question motives to a certain degree, many of these questions may be answered in future volumes as has happened on numerous occasions already. Only a few characters have plot armour, and not always the ones we expect. There have been some unexpected turns of events, non-too-surprising, but also not following any tropes to the letter. It is slightly dark, but it is not fully a story of despair as there are both positive and negative developments. The plot is strong and previous decisions DO affect the flow of the plot in ways that many other stories seem to avoid or gloss over. And despite this being a story set in a fantasy realm, the reactions by characters both high and low are realistic. It's a series that I have a hard time putting down.

Attack on Titan is a story of tragic events that start well before the main time line of the story. Young Eren, Mikasa and Armin were faced with watching a brutal slaughter by giant humanoid monsters called Titans, on their home town. Many lives were lost including Eren Yeager’s family. The Manga jumps around the time line, on page their old in and in the military and the next young and going through their tragic back stories that lead them to that moment in time, it can be quite confusing at times. Despite the jumping, the story is very, very, very, fast paced and introduces many unique characters. Attack on Titan is considered a horror story for it’s lovely blood shed and brutal deaths. The series has a lot of promise and is for readers who enjoy horror action stories.

Beautiful, mysterious, breathtaking... Attack on Titan is a series that will get you really interested in what would happen next. Summary is that titans (big human-figure-like creatures that don't think) started attacking the humans mysteriously, eating them, destroying homes... all throughout the manga/anime people/humanity have been trying to find out who was behind this or what was behind this, throughout their search they (even the reader) is/are mind-blown. There exist a wall that keeps humanity safe from titans but it has been breached by another titan. Eren Yeager (the main character) has sworn to join the survey corps to be able to reach outside the walls that keep humanity safe, and destroy every last titan.

Attack On Titan is a Japanese Anime based on Manga/comic book as well as a Novel. Written by Hajime Isayama, the story follows a young boy Named Eren living with his 2 friends Mikasa and Armin in a small town surrounded by 3 walls. One day strange humanoid giants appear behind the walls called Titans. The Titans destroy the town and eat Eren's mother. From that day Eren vowed to kill all the titans, revenge his mother, and protect his friends. The storyline is very well developed and interesting. The characters develop very well throughout the series in my opinion. The animation looks very beautiful and solid. However this anime is very bloody, dark and creepy and kind of mysterious as well. which is my favourite type of show. It has a lot of death scenes and dark moments where human got eaten alive. This anime is definitely for adults not for kids. Overall I really enjoyed watching this Anime and I think it's very entertaining to watch. I recommend watching this anime or reading the manga if you are mature enough. Or you're interested in dark bloody shows. Plus reading the manga will make you understand the story more. There are a lot of missing parts that haven't been animated yet. It's only in the manga. 8.5/10.

This is the only manga I've ever read, but I feel like I lucked out and stumbled into the perfect introduction to epic manga storytelling. "Attack on Titan" manages to find a unique spin on the post-apocalyptic tale, telling the story of the few survivors of humanity as they struggle to fight giant humanoid creatures called Titans. A story spanning decades and multiple locations, "Attack on Titan" never loses focus on its characters and turns what could be just another sensational genre story into something very heartfelt and compelling. I blazed through all 16 volumes currently available. Don't be turned off by the cover! Recommended by Sonia

Very solid first volume. Interesting concept, great character design (especially on the Titans), and the plot seems quite interesting. Two complaints are the art tends to have too much going on in a single panel, and too many panels on a page, making the action hard to follow on occasion. Also, first volume syndrome, in that not much happens that's hugely exciting. Lots of great world building though.

This visceral manga features a fast-paced and engaging plot, strong characters, and an interesting world. At times the art seems rough and inconsistent, but it fits with the overall theme and tone of the books.

Um, there's a spelling mistake in the description. It says 'Elen', when it's supposed to be 'Eren'. Just saying. I love Attack on Titan, though. So beautiful!
