I love Science Fiction with a good story and strong female characters. This book was a quick read that fit both those traits plus a bit a spice. I typically do not read romance, but this book provided just enough but not over the top like many other romance novels. I wish there was another book featuring the continuation of Loch and Ada's adventures and the war between the Houses. I particularly liked that the author provided the political intrigue between the Houses, it gave this Science Fiction Romance story more depth then I expected. I encourage the author to keep writing and I look forward to reading more.

Scifi-romance is always a treat when done right. I love that our damsel in distress can sort herself out most of the time. For lovers of Linnea Sinclair and Susan Grant.

A nice space opera porno.

It's a well-written piece of space opera, with some really novel plot elements amid the usual cliches. It's also absurdly sex-focused--it devolves into smut every couple pages. I like smut, but still found the filth in Polaris Rising repetitive and grating.

She's a good author, and it's a fun read! It just could be so much better if the porn were a little more spaced out.

This book was great fun, reminiscent of the Vatta's War series, but definitely steamier. I'd love another book featuring the continuation of Loch and Ada's (mis)adventures and their impact on the setting's future circumstances. If I'm lucky, they'll feature peripherally in the second, upcoming novel, Aurora Blaze. (I also expect a third installment will feature Rhys and Veronica.) I also want to know who's the previous paramour who so pained Loch's heart. And while I'm at it, I'm curious to see if Albrecht, Ada's father, had hidden depths; did his raise his children to purposely antagonize them and oppose him, in an effort to create a solidified squad of siblings? (Probably not, but I like layered antagonists.)

A really interesting sci-fi, action, romance novel. The author creates a fascinating world, of which readers are totally immersed in. I'm quite invested in finding the history of Ada's sister. Perfect for fans who like their books action packed.

This book is so much fun! The story reads like your favorite action/adventure movie. I can't wait to check out the rest of the series!

Sci-fi romance, first in a trilogy. If you're looking for a quick, fun, uncomplicated read, this one is for you. I am looking forward to getting to know more characters in the next sequel.
