Winona Farmington had dreams-- but real life got in the way, and she left college to return to her small Michigan hometown to care for her mother. Stuck in a dead-end job, she consoles herself with binge-watching the British television series that she loves, Beauchamp Hall, enthralled by the sumptuous period drama set on a great Norfolk estate in the 1920s. Passed over for a promotion and betrayed by her boyfriend and her best friend, Winnie packs her bags and flies to England to see the town where Beauchamp Hall is filmed. Her world comes alive on the set of the show-- and Winnie takes the boldest leap of all.

Think as Jilly Cooper-lite with 200 page less & fewer support characters.

Any compulsive reader of Danielle Steel books knows what to expect on picking up the latest offering. "Beauchamp Hall" is no exception to the general rule- a relationship or two where the man is very mean and the woman breaks up - FINALLY! Anyway the woman does follow her heart and this leads to the perfect man of course. In this case the (un)lucky woman is Winnie and she drops everything she has in Beecher Michigan and heads a continent away to a little village in England following her dream. Lots of action and all ends well -surprise, surprise! If you're an avid Steel fan you could read it but if you're a first-timer give this book a rest because she's written better books.
