Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

Excellent debut novel! I couldn't put it down and am anxious for her to write more.

It was already a good read, but then there was a twist at the end that I definitely did NOT see coming! I couldn't put it down.

Wonderful writing! I thought this was by far the best "thriller" of the current 'woman in a scary situation' genre. Great twists, which make you do some work remembering and checking back to figure it out. Will look for future books by this author

A page turner that is complex with strong character development. The plot twists at the end led me to re-read parts of the book to ensure I got it right! Masterful writing.

Now this is a thriller! A few twists I was not expecting that I had to re-read a few paragraphs a second time to make sure I read it right. Held my breath a few times throughout.

I thought this was a decent enough mystery/thriller that was seriously marred by an overcomplicated and somewhat confusing series of twists at the end. Not terrible, but not essential reading, either.

This is a good one! It's the pace is great. The twists and turns and completely unpredictable. I love reading a story when I don't know who the good guys and the bad guys are. You will not be disappointed reading this. I would go on about what I loved, but I don't want to spoil it. Just pick it up and prepare to not put it down until you finish.

I could not have predicted some of the twists in this story! Hard to put down!

Amber is in a coma, but doesn't remember how she got there. She can hear voices, but can't speak or move. She has flashbacks to hear childhood and the week before she ended up in the hospital. Short chapters, quick and easy read. I couldn't put it down. Twists and turns that leave you left with some questions and confusion at times. I hope the author works on another book, because I loved this one.
