The fat jokes haven't aged particularly well, but this was good mindless entertainment for a stressful time.

Dodgeball is a decent story about a business trying not to be taken over by a bigger business, and how the former business attempts to set up a dodgeball team to avoid being sold out.
The actors put up very good performances of their characters, even Ben Stiller, who makes a very threatening villain. I didn’t really love the jokes though. Most of them either felt predictable (crotch shot #6) or were not funny at all (throwing wrenches? Really?). However, the story and characters felt fleshed out and were sometimes entertaining.
So with a 4 out of 5, I would speak well of this for other people.

A feel good comedy with stupid moments, but with a message to believe in yourself

Ridiculous premise intentionally overacted by the entire cast (and it really is a good and legit comedic cast). Still, it comes out funny and has a couple endearing moments. Vaughn plays his usual character and Stiller excels as a maniacal uber fitness mogul.

The real gem of this movie is the cameo scene from Lance Armstrong. Don't miss it.

I saw this movie a few months ago and I remembered it being funnier when I was younger. However, I was wrong. Don't get the wrong idea. I laughed and all, but it was just an entertaining movie.
