I don't usually read fiction but this author has so much history in her stories that I love them. I think this is my 4th, I loved this one about Australia. It does seem like at first the characters are whiney and self-absorbed, if you can get past the first 75 pages or so the rest is v. good. Which one will I pick next?

I really enjoyed the setting in this fourth novel of the Seven Sisters series. I didn't know much about pre-WWI Australia, so I learned a lot.

Silly plot. Dumb dialogue. Kept waiting for it to get better; it didn't.

I've been reading this saga ever since the Seven Sisters book first came out. I am totally captivated.
I think The Pearl Sister has been the best sister story thus far, which is saying a lot since they are all so good. I read this 500+ page book in 3 1/2 days! I couldn't put it down. The characters in this book are so likeable, even the villains!
I can hardly wait for the next story, Tiggy's story.
If you've not read these books, start at the beginning with the Seven Sisters and enjoy your way through Maia's story, Ally's story, Star's story & CeCe's story (Pearl Sister). Next will be Tiggy and then Electra.
Amazing author is Lucinda Riley!

Book four in the Seven Sisters series.... The Pearl Sister is another wonderful story from Lucinda Riley. This time set in Australia... well worth reading!

Lucinda Riley never disappoints and her research is meticulous. The Australian pearl fishing industry and the appearance of Aboriginal artist, Albert Namatjira 's work add to the fascinating story as Ce-Ce, the Pearl Sister discovers her own personal ties with Australian history.
