I read this not knowledgeable about the history of intersex activism or who Hida Viloria was. Born Both is an account of Viloria’s life, intersex activism, and how he/r life has influenced he/r role in this activism. Viloria also addresses ethnicity, race, gender, and sexuality and how these intersect. It’s a good resource for those wanting to learn more.

Love the courage and thoughtfulness it takes to write an autobiography this revealing. The writing isn't fantastic, but the honesty is terrific.
