WOW i sort of liked this book. Not really my favorite genre but found I couldn't put it down. It was a fast read and certainly kept my attention. If you liked Hunger Games you would like this book.

Yes...and he has even a better one just out last month or September.. a factual one rather than sci-fi ...called "It IS about Islam...all based on interviews from those Muslims who know the truth and are willing to tell the truth... And now we see that it isn't the UN which is taking the world over but ISIS..or maybe it is the UN..who knows...Are you ready to see burkas and honor killings and beheadings of Bellingham infidels...Glenn Beck is a local fellow who graduated from Sehome High in 1980...

Intriguing but ominous story, and a fast read. Reminded me of 1984 and Animal Farm. You can translate the current political rhetoric (greed energy, climate change, global warming, elimination of vehicles, one child per family, all the "political correctness") being tossed around now and see how things could potentially evolve madly like this, especially the way social media and the internet have changed the speed and content of information/misinformation. Since the story is predicated on a United Nations initiative which really exists, originally evolving since 1972, it's particularly apt. It's all about power, control, and following the money trail. I thought it started with the failure of Al Gore to win his election, but it seems to have started with another billionaire, Maurice Strong an executive with the UN.

I sure appreciate people who are willing to speak the truth in the face of false accusations! The wording that's used in Beck's and Parke's book does reflect what we hear OBAMA say as he aggressively pushes his agenda forward... This is a good read. It does point to a future that is pushed on unsuspecting people. If us Canadians get a new leader, literally tonight, then we're heading in that direction too! Hopefully, we will keep HARPER for several more years!!!

Excellent book, very well written.

I simply cannot believe that any sane human would bother to waste time reading Glenn Beck: so let's look at the opposite of his book. $6 billion was reported missing from the State Department recent: $5 billion of it was spent in overthrowing the corrupt, but democratically elected government of Ukraine, to be replaced with a fascist, but pro-NATO, government. Which led to countless deaths, including the shootdown of a civilian airliner, and the destruction of a country. The outcome of the invasion of Iraq during the criminal Bush administration is today there is no Iraq, just some areas occupied by the New Caliphate (ISIS), other areas the Kurds, and the remaining area where the Shi'a ran to escape ISIS.

I am not exactly a fan of Glenn Beck. I agree with him on some things and disagree on many but I enjoyed reading this book. I identified with the main character and felt the suffering of her experiences and emotions. However, I do not necessarily agree about the overall message this book is attempting to convey. In my opinion, it’s very one sided. There needs to be a balance between respect for the earth and economic prosperity. The reality is that our planet has finite resources and we should all pay attention to that. I agree with Glenn and Harriet that worshipping the earth is not the solution and we shouldn’t let our government or society steer us in that direction. I moved with my family from the former Soviet Union to the U.S. when I was a little boy. I heard so many stories from family members about how they stood in line for basic things such as bread and toilet paper. Government control of resources and deciding what’s best for its people is NOT the solution.

Additionally, regardless of your view(s) on CO2 emissions impacting climate change, the reality is that CO2 emissions and pollution DOES impact our air, water, and soil. This is a serious detriment to our health and we all can agree on that. I wouldn’t inhale smog from a power plant or drink water that was polluted by an oil spill and I am sure no one I know would either. People need to come to terms with that and support methods that can reduce environmental damage without sacrificing social and economic freedom. What bothered me most is that the term “sustainable” received a lot of negative connotation from the authors. Unfortunately, the U.S. is not setting a good example when it comes to sustainability. Our country is less than 5% of the world’s population yet we consume 30% of the world’s energy and resources. This book fails to address that.

The bottom line is that we have this amazing planet to live on and I believe we should respect and cherish it without the need to worship it. As far as I know, it’s the only planet in our galaxy and it would take a very long time to find and travel to a new one. Agenda 21 may not be the solution but encouraging people to be more responsible to the earth and each other is and that should not be a crime. I believe that’s what this book really fails to convey. I fear an environmental socialist regime just as much as corporate fascist one. We can’t let either one take over and must become cognizant of the potential consequences of our actions. I believe there is a third way and hope people realize that sooner than later.

No matter what you think of his writing itself, this book is an eye-opener. Check out all of the data available on the web, and take a look around. It's like ... deja vu

I think my previous comment was deleted, but I"ll say if you care about America and freedom, you should read this book. It is NOT far off and the guy is NOT a nut. Agenda 21 is a real UN proposition or plan. Very scary stuff. If you have not been paying attention to what is happening in this country, this should wake you up. The book reads great! Hard to put it down. It is not your usual plot, but you're immediately drawn into the characters and the siutation. Give it try. I think you'll find it fascinating, especially when you read the afterward. I give it five stars.

"Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level." The Earth Summit Strategy to Save our Planet, by Daniel Sitarz.

"Japan's new government is barely a month old, and already one of its most senior members has insulted tens of millions of voters by suggesting that the elderly are an unnecessary drain on the country's finances.

Taro Aso, the finance minister, said on Monday that the elderly should be allowed to "hurry up and die" to relieve pressure on the state to pay for their medical care. . . ."
