I liked the basic idea of the storyline involving three very different sisters trying to work together to help their long widowed mother plan her second marriage. At times it was easy to identify with the separate sisters and their issues; the first born who was still holding onto a betrayal in her marriage and thrived in martyrdom, the middle sister constantly bitching about everyone else but herself and the clumsy youngest who suffers the put downs and criticism in silence. Susan Mallery has a certain writing style that doesn't go very deep and often the flippant words of the characters can put you off but it is an enjoyable novel.

This was the first Susan Mallery book that was a disappointment to me. I found all of the characters vapid, vacuous and depressing. It drives me nuts when an author fundamentally stresses that weight loss, training and good diet will get your husband back. Why would she want a liar and a cheater back in her life? I'd enjoy the pizza more.

This is a stand-alone book by Susan Mallory. In the past I've read her Fool's Gold books.
I really enjoyed the story; it had interesting characters.
I would totally recommend.
