I have read 5 John Connolly books, 4 in the Charlie Parker series and Bad Men. I can't find a weak entry in any of them. Incredible - great characters, compelling and dark plots, superior writing. I suggest the library acquire all of his books.

A powerful story that combines elements of Stephen King with James Lee Burke (Dave Robicheaux). A relentless sense of dread permeates Charlie "Bird" Parker's hunt for the murderer(s?) of his wife and child. Be warned... this story is not for the squeamish, with a mood that is not just dark but midnight black. Unfortunately, "Every Dead Thing" tends to repeat itself with its horrible details. Less might have been better. Even so, a great read.
