Wow... not at all what I was expecting. Very nice surprise. Might be good idea to have tissue on hand. Worth a half star more if it wasn't so difficult to understand the dialogue (thick accents) or maybe I'm just hard of hearing (?)

Rated 8/10. Well done show. Good acting. Enjoyed it.

I'm actually really glad that I had read the book before I saw the movie because I was so disappointed in the book's ending that it prepared me for the movie. That being said, this is one movie that I actually liked better than the book. It unfolded exactly how I had pictured it while reading the book and I'm sure that it helped that Jojo Moyes, who wrote the book, also wrote the screenplay. Every major plot point was presented and the thing I liked best about this movie was that the book is filled with swear words but there is not one in the movie. I think I would have liked the book better had it been more like this movie. It's a sweet story, but there really wasn't enough believable romance in it for me. The acting was good and I'm glad that they chose the actors that they did. They really brought the characters to life. I would recommend reading the book first before seeing the movie in order to understand it better, but it can be watched on its own.

Emelia Clarke is such a delight in this film. I loved Lou's quirky, fun, and attractive outfits. They complemented her personality so well. Emilia's wonderfully expressive face is so endearing. The screenplay is very well written, the actors are all well cast, the locations are beautifully filmed, and the film moves effortlessly from one scene to the next. The dialogue is so real, delightfully Brittish, and so funny. This is a must-see movie for those who enjoy romantic comedies.

A very good movie with an enchanting female lead. So refreshing and quirky. Well done and beautiful locations.

I thought this had the potential for being an overly sweet romance, where they live happily ever after. Instead, I found it inspiring me to live my life with a smile and to encourage others.

The film somewhat glossed over Will's complicated drug regimen, from the book part 1 of 2:
‘It’s not hard. He mostly knows what he needs. But he might need a little help getting them down. We tend to use this beaker here. Or you can crush them with this pestle and mortar and put them in a drink.’ I picked up one of the labels. I wasn’t sure I had ever seen so many drugs outside a pharmacy. ‘Okay. So he has two meds for blood pressure, this to lower it at bedtime, this one to raise it when he gets out of bed. These he needs fairly often to control his muscular spasms – you will need to give him one mid-morning, and again at mid-afternoon.

The film glossed over Will's complicated drug regimen, from the book part 2 of 2:
He doesn’t find those too hard to swallow, because they’re the little coated ones. These are for bladder spasms, and these here are for acid reflux. He sometimes needs these after eating if he gets uncomfortable. This is his antihistamine for the morning, and these are his nasal sprays, but I mostly do those last thing before I leave, so you shouldn’t have to worry. He can have paracetamol if he’s in pain, and he does have the odd sleeping pill, but these tend to make him more irritable in the daytime, so we try to restrict them. ‘These –’ he held up another bottle ‘– are the antibiotics he has every two weeks for his catheter change. I do those unless I’m away, in which case I’ll leave clear instructions. They’re pretty strong. There are the boxes of rubber gloves, if you need to clean him up at all. There’s also cream there if he gets sore, but he’s been pretty good since we got the air mattress.’

Tons of quotes in IMDb already like this gem:

Every time I speak, he looks at me like I'm stupid.
-To be fair, you are pretty stupid.
Yeah, but he doesn't know that yet.
