A young girl searching for her mother and learning to let go. Understanding and kind friends and strangers, a loving father, a bullying sister, all play a part in Yuki's search to find answers and vestiges of the mother she lost at a young age.

A story that doesn't flag in the middle, but moves, with sudden surprises, insights and silences that sink into the reader's consciousness.

Poignant and beautiful.

Yuki captured my attention from the first page. Her quirks are believable and captivating and draw you in to this quest of hers for answers and understanding. I wish o could have spent more time in her company.
