This investigative documentary on the social and political crisis in South Africa follows the paths of five young people belonging to the post-Apartheid generation, who hope to bring multiple changes to their country. What has become of Nelson Mandela's dream of a democratic and multi-racial South Africa? In a country faced with issues of economic inequality, social tension and community withdrawal; many young people are becoming politically active. Shane and Mbali pursue careers in the ANC; Botshelo wants to run for Johannesburg City Council under the Democratic Alliance, the ANC's racially united opposition party; and Malcolm is involved in the Economic Freedom Fighters, a radical left wing organization calling for equal land redistribution. Stefan feels his Boer community is being persecuted and interracial couple Rebecca and Obi represent a minority among the "born free" generation.
