Dates given are the dates the surveys were made. Some deeds were dated much earlier than the surveys, some as early as 1753.
The surveyors' records, also called surveyors' entry books, contains Land Office treasury warrants recorded with the county. The treasury warrant was issued by the Land Office upon presentation of a voucher. The warrant gave the amount of land and the rights upon which the warrant was due. It also authorized the county surveyor to survey the property.
