Honestly, I have to say that this novel makes you understand the changes that a person goes through when they are involved with the wrong person. I know this sounds pretty straightforward but the way the author, Amy Clipston, makes you rethink each thing she says within the novel changes the way you think of the novel. In the novel, Chelsea believes she is given the chance to “enjoy” her life before she goes into college once she meets Dylan at her internship. Before Dylan, Chelsea had a loving boyfriend, a job, and a good life. Sometimes, what you want in life happens to be right in front of your eyes, but in Chelsea’s case, you sometimes go for the harder option. This novel didn’t exactly make me feel jittery inside but it sure was a good read and for that I would rate it a 7/10. Having a few plot twists did make the novel interesting, though it could have been better. The book is pretty relatable as Chelsea is a relatable character. The story is a mixed genre as it isn’t exactly romance, or adventure, or dramatic. It’s a mix of many genres, and that gives a certain hip to the read. If you’re a reader looking for a summer read this is a good book for you. It kept me reading and had a worthwhile ending, though I will not spoil it for you. “Miles from Nowhere” gives you a different perspective on novels. So yes, I do suggest that you read it, as it is a book for any kind of reader. Read away!
