This book wasn’t exactly the best, but it had an interesting plot. I think that my biggest complaint is the misleading title. Although it’s called “Lords of the Sith”, little time in the story is really spent on Vader or Palpatine. Most of the focus is on Cham Syndulla and the Free Ryloth Movement. But, as long as you know what you’re getting into, I think the book is pretty worthwhile. I really enjoyed the Twi’lek character Isval, although I kind of wish that the author had delved into her past a bit more, to explain how she became so bitter against the Empire. Also, although they weren’t featured as heavily as the title suggested, I enjoyed the dynamic between Vader and the Emperor. I loved the few scenes that they did have together, although most of them were saved for the end. And I LOVED the scenes where Vader showed off his intimidatingly awesome lightsaber skills on the Twi’lek rebels.

Terrible story, as far as Star Wars goes, it was horrible. Terrible. Baaaddddd.

I haven't been reading many Star Wars books since the prequels came out. Before then I was a big fan of A.C. Crispin's Han Solo Trilogy, Steve Perry's "Shadows of the Empire" and Timothy Zahn's trilogy.

I recently started reading some new Star Wars books, specifically set between episodes III and IV. "Lords of the Sith," is the best I've read in a long time. Many Star Wars books get too caught up in describing the politics of the Empire. This book gives you just enough context and gets moving. Lots of action and you get to see the Emperor and Lord Vader in a new light - hunted by an early pocket of rebellion that is ruthless because it has to be. If you are looking for something to tide you over until the Force Awakens, this book is a great choice. — Ian S., Communication

The writing wasn't that good, but an entertaining book. About 2 and 1/2 stars for writing, but 4 for entertainment quality.

This sucks
I would give it 0.0000000000000000001 stars

This is by far one of the worst books I have finished reading. I think the sentence "He immersed himself in the force." Is used about 100 times, on one particular page this same sentence is repeated like 4 sentences apart, 3 times. The writing is terrible, I honestly do not know why I finished reading this book. I guess I kept hoping it would get better. Vader and the Emperor are not as shallow as they are portrayed in this book. It seems like the writer just slapped a book down for Disney and they didn't even preread it. The world building is terrible, character building never happened, plot was non existent. Read it and witness the worst editing and writing in existence.

Should focus more on Vader and Palpatine. Spotlight is on Isval and Cham.

Awesome, amazing book. Should be a movie. Read a lot of Star Wars books. This is in the top three, maybe the best one. Whole story is about Vader and the Emperor being hunted down by Rebels. Great book.

Finally, a good author who has seen The Clone Wars TV show and understands it's importance to Anakin's/Vader's development.

Quick and exciting read that addresses Vader's complete renunciation of Anakin at the Emperor's command. Very interesting for Star Wars fans.
