Volume 3 of X-Men, that covered slightly more than half of season 3 and some of season 4, continued where Volume 2 left off with further well crafted episodes that tested the bonds within the X-Men, across both space and time. The stand out of Volume 3 is of course a three-part adaptation of the "Dark Phoenix Saga," an adaptation so good that there's no need to ever watch "X-Men: The Last Stand." X3 or XIII never happened. In addition, Volume 3 also included great episodes like "Obsession," "Cold Comfort," "Nightcrawler," and "Weapon X, Lies, and Video Tape." Also, watch out for cameos by the High Evolutionary, X-Factor, War Machine, Spider-Man, an alternate version of the Avengers, and the Soviet Armed Forces.
