Really enjoyed this film. Goldie Hawn and Ingrid Bergman were great. The costumes, music, and dancing of the late 60s were fun to watch. I hadn't seen Ingrid Bergman in a comedic role before, and she stole the show! (with her stole, lol).
GREAT 1969 romantic musical comedy starring Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman, and Goldie Hawn, who won an Oscar for her performance.
From wikipedia:
The prickly cactus Miss Dickinson keeps on her desk in the office gives the film its name. Like Miss Dickinson, the cactus thrives in the driest of settings--and Miss Dickinson gets the driest, funniest lines.
Ultimately, both the cactus and Miss Dickinson "bloom."
Big fan of both actresses so I really enjoyed this play, er, movie! You must watch the funky dancing at the night club to get a big chuckle.
I love this movie. Why oh why did Ingrid Bergman not do more comedy she is so funny in this. Everyone in this is great and i love it so much. And it is super funny.
Romantic comedy. A bit zainy and wacky but right on the mark for the times. Some of the scenes tend to linger for affect but the affect was lost on me. Although I didn't care for the movie as much as Goldie Hawn's (Acadamy Award Performance) and it was easy to see why she received one.
The movie 2*, Goldie 4* = 3*.
