Not your usual horror movie where a ghost terrorizes a household or a generic cold-blooded murderer attempts to kill mindless teens. Everything that happens here is gritty and real, which is why it leaves such an impact on the viewer. The characters feel like they could exist in real life, the consequences of choices that are made leave an impact on the main cast, even the blood and gore that happens within the movie doesn't feel like some Hollywood special effect. This movie definitely isn't for the faint-hearted, so be cautious.

The fact that this could really happen makes it all the more creepy.

Violent and tense. The beginning does a great job getting you to care about the characters by encapsulating the struggle of a DIY tour. The rest of the move is a well executed siege movie that is terrifying but impossible to look away from.

Terrible music. Plenty of gore.

Not Patrick Stewart's best role.

It was OK but too violent, I gave it 3 stars because I like ending,

This thriller/crime film is about a punk rock band that is witness to a crime, and now trapped by a group of white nationalist skinheads who want to make sure that the crime is properly covered up. What I really liked about this movie is that it uses people as the scary force that is terrorizing the people in this film. The writing felt natural and the storyline was absolutely realistic which made things that much more intense and horrifying. I would rate this movie 4.5/5 stars as far as horror movies go, and recommend it to those who usually can’t get into horror movies because of the plot. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

This was another film that I came across and got it out for having Patrick Stewart (PS) in the cast. I was massively impressed with this "unknown," PS horror film.
Smart writing, good directing and acting, with the exception of perhaps one "bad" guy Gabe (or wrongful casting, as Macon Blair just didn't feel right for this right-hand man),
The biggest problem with this film, was that it left me wondering and asking why? What was the motivation for an owner (PS: Logan: 2017; X-Men series as professor X; and Captain Jean-Luc Picard, of the Star Trek series.) of a rural bar, along with his cronies, to go so far in hiding a murder, making the body count higher, all left me with questions.
If you take this without any need to believe that this could happen, it is like ending up in an episode of a good Twilight Zone episode.
This "rural" mentality, reminded me of other fine films, like Deliverance, and Eden Lake, of where an adventure, or in this case a "gig," ends up badly. High marks for the make-up crew, as at times, some scenes made me squirm, with the on screen realistic body injuries.
One of the surviving band members, played by Anton Yelchin (Star Trek: Beyond as Checkov: 2016), was one of few faces I had recognized, other than Eric Edelstein (TV and the 2015 Jurassic World).
Over all very well done.
The special feature is worth watching with some interviews of cast and director & writer, Jeremy Saulnier (True Detective - 2 episodes: 2019; Blue Ruin: 2013; Murder Party: 2007).

No monsters or jump scares. Just real tension and fear.
What makes this horror movie so unnerving is the authenticity of the villains.
These are not vampires or psychotic killers, but dedicated extremists that are more true to life than any antagonist I've seen in ages.
That, by far, was the most unsettling aspect.

The cast, acting, and pace are all very good, but, I wasn't convinced by some sloppy planning (on the bad guys part) towards the end.
Splitting up gets you killed. Even when you're the bad guys.

The finale, however, was amazing.
Great movie.
