Spider-Man 2 is the second film in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and the highest rated Spider-Man film of all time. It's absolutely no doubt as to why. Peter Parker is back on the big-screen and now with more problems than ever, but how can he deal with this when the city desparately needs Spider-Man? The film picks up where the last one left off and it builds off of everything before into something better. In an era so over saturated with superhero films, Spider-Man 2 is a fresh breath of air that wears it's heart on both sleeves. Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe began, superhero films were either a hit or miss and Spider-Man was one of the first to be a true hit. The music score is great, the cinematography is awesome and performances by everyone, especially Tobey Maguire, the star of the trilogy as Peter Parker really make this movie shine. There's something just so great about these films that cannot easily be put into words. Despite being a little dated, Spider-Man 2 still holds up as the best Spider-Man movie to date and if you love the character, give this a watch. 5/5

This is the sequel to the Spider-man movie made in 2002. This movie was made in 2004 by universal studios. The movie starts off showing how Peter Parker is struggling a lot trying to keep his life together as Spiderman, being a collage student, trying to keep a job, and paying rent. It shows how no matter what Peter tries as long as he puts Spiderman first he can’t be happy and have what he wants. The main villain in this film is Doctor Octopus. When Octavias’s experiment goes wrong he becomes mind controlled by the mechanical arms he create to assist his experiment. Although Spider Man had an important job keeping the city together eventually at one point in the film his powers go away. Instead of fighting for a way to get then back, Peter put his happiness over being Spider Man and started to live a normal life again. Although everything was going so well Peter not being Spiderman, he couldn’t help seeing people in danger and not doing anything so he started saving people again and his powers came back to help him defeat Doctor Octopus. In my opinion the message of this film was that, you should do things that are important or good, even if you don’t want to because it’s the right thing to do. I recommend this movie to people of any age. @ButterChicken of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Peter Parker struggles to balance his crime-fighting duties as Spider-Man with the demands of his normal life. He loses a job, faces financial difficulties, and struggles to attend his physics lectures at Columbia University on time. Parker is estranged from both love interest Mary Jane Watson—now a successful Broadway actress—and best friend Harry Osborn, who still bears a hateful grudge against Spider-Man. Harry insists that Spider-Man murdered his father, Norman Osborn, who was secretly the supervillain Green Goblin. Parker's Aunt May is threatened with foreclosure, and Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson continues to denounce Spider-Man as a menace to New York City. As a result, Peter starts to think about giving up being Spider-Man. The attendant loss in self-confidence appears to have physiological effects, as Parker's enhanced arachnid powers soon become unreliable.
