D-Day, the Total StoryStreaming Video - 2011
Two years of painstaking preparation had come down to this moment, H-Hour June 6, 1944. A quarter of a million fighting men aboard nearly 7,000 ships of every size and description headed across the English Channel. The soldiers knew their mission; they were trained and ready. The plans for Operation Overlord had blue-printed nearly every yard of the 65 mile long coastline. After waiting a day for the weather to clear, some of the men were already exhausted and many were sea sick. All of them wondered what fate awaited them over that gray horizon. This is the second in a series depicting the total story of D-Day.
