Power of MemoryStreaming Video - 2014
Argentina, the country of tango, optimism, and beautiful landscapes, is also scarred by years of dictatorship by a military junta. On board a train from Buenos Aires to Bariloche in the Andes, we hear from young Argentineans who themselves were not victims of the junta, but they know the history from horror stories of their parents. Pamela's Spanish father fled to Argentina to escape Franco's dictatorship, and fell in love with a young Agentinian woman. Both eventually were forced into exile. Pamela now feels that she is a child of fear and love, two emotions that characterize her relationship with her parents. Jorge is happy to have survived the dictatorship. The pain will always remain, but the hope and the will that change is possible, eventually overcomes everything.
