Separate chapters describe every facet of everyday life in ancient Egypt. Not a boring book despite the fact it appears to be a scholarly work - lots of footnotes to show the source of information and extensive bibliography. The narrative would benefit with more illustrations/pictures of artifacts. Spent an enjoyable time reading through this book.

While certainly a resource for information that can sometimes be hard to find, I found it laced with opinion, bias, and skepticism that made it difficult to stomach at times. Take with a grain of salt.

Excellent reference on the details of life in Ancient Egypt. I would have preferred a little more separation between the different ages, but still an excellent read nonetheless.
