Inspiring! I've wanted to know what to do with cattails, other than using the flour in gluten free recipes. He offers up pickled cattail shoots!

The author offers interesting twists to familiar dishes, using foraged foods that are all around us. He takes you down a well worn, but hidden path to flavors that are unique and captivating.

I also love the fact that he offers recipes for the pantry, freezer and refrigerator. You can make some of your own ingredients to have on hand, not just depend on the supermarket.

This book encourages you to look at your surroundings in a very different way and inspires you to get a bit out of your comfort zone to try some new, unique recipes.
