This story (cowritten by Douglas Adams) is full of humor, wit, eccentricity, and Mona Lisas. Seven Mona Lisas, to be precise - and they're all originals. Look out for a great cameo by John Cleese. (Also, if Romana's costume is anything to go by, she appears to have attended Hogwarts. Probably a Ravenclaw.)

A true classic. One of the best Doctor Who stories ever, the City of Death finds the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) and Romana II (Lalla Ward) in Paris where they encounter deadly time experiments and a plot to steal the Mona Lisa. Guest starring Julian Glover (General Veers in Empire Strikes Back and Donovan in The Last Crusade) as the villain and co-written by Douglas Adams (author of Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy), this is a fun, brilliant piece of television.

The Doctor: Patron, three glasses of water. Make them doubles.

Countess: [referring to The Doctor] My dear, I don't think he's as stupid as he seems.
Count: My dear, nobody could be as stupid as he seems.

Countess: I was rather under the impression that Mr. Duggan was following me.
The Doctor: Ah. Well, you're a beautiful woman, probably, and Duggan was trying to summon up the courage to ask you out to dinner. Weren't you, Duggan?

The Doctor: [Hermann shoves the Doctor into the sitting room] I say, what a wonderful butler, he's so violent!
