This is gardening in the Midwest, with principles, tested plants , sample garden plans, and inspiration.

I really enjoyed this book by an experienced plantsman. His thorough experience with plants can open minds to a new way of planting that creates gardens that are beautiful, low maintenance and ecologically sound. The easy to read text and detailed explanations can be enjoyed by the beginning gardener and the seasoned professional alike. I so recommend this book.

an interesting book with SOME good philosophy. However, I detest that they frequently resort/rely on use of glyphosate (round up or other brand) to manage weeds or start new beds. Do yourself a favor and thoroughly research before you instill this nastiness into your environment
