Poor Flowkee--it's bad enough that he's been sent with his family (well, only two of his parents) to Earth, where the so-called intelligent species is light years dumber than his pet ploogle. Flowkee must disguise himself as a human being (which sometimes doesn't work) and actually go to school, pretending he's just as dumb, and trying to fit in. There's more to the story line, including an impending invasion of spinach-dependent Threggs, but mainly, readers will laugh out loud at all the goofy misinterpretations and close calls made by Flowkee and his comrades.
