I absolutely loved Starkey's first novel and couldn't wait to read 2 and 3. Unfortunately this one felt more contrived and forced, less believable than book 1. I'll still read #3 but I hope it's back to the caliber of #1.

As Scott Starkey has done a great job of portraying a young boy's psyche and chronicled the life of youngsters at camp with all the dynamics inherent therein.

As an adult reading a children's book I felt Starkey could have avoided some stereotypes. Your youngster will love it.
