This is just silly. That is the best way to describe this film, just silly. Not one of Zemeckis' best.

Fizzy, silly movie that's about Beatlemania, not the Beatles, although they appear in archival footage. 6 Jersey teens drive into NYC to try and catch the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. Wacky hijinks ensue. This was the first film directed by Robert Zemeckis, who went on to do "Back to the Future," "Forest Gump," and many others. Produced by Steven Spielberg. The only actors I recognized were Nancy Allen and the guy who played Jimmy Olsen in the original "Superman" movies. Part of the 70s and 80s obsession with 60s pop culture. Also see "American Graffiti" and "The Big Chill."

The first movie directed by Robert ("Back to the Future," "Forrest Gump") Zemeckis is a lost gem that beautifully--and hilariously--captures early 1964 America at the cusp of Beatlemania.
It will make you feel young again. And we can all use that right now!

Expected to see Beetles and their music, instead it’s very bad teen movie.

I saw this movie along time ago, and it is still the movie I remember. It is a sweet comedy about kids and their hero's The Beatles. I watched it twice and that was very nice.
