I mean it's cute but if you don't have anything to do with New York (like the whole rest of the country) it's just alright. It's so New York specific it's hard to get kids to relate who have no direct knowledge. Wealthier kids whose family is fortunate enough to take a family trip across country or kids who live in New York City will enjoy it.

What a fun book to use with classes learning about New York City! I used this one with 4-year-olds who had already learned a lot of factual information about NYC landmarks and were ready for something more whimsical, which played with the facts they already knew.
