What a delightful book this was! Not only was a wonderful history of tea provided, but also many tantalizing recipes as well. The development of the tea room was very interesting, as was the entry of sandwiches, preserves and all manner of festive embellishments.

I really liked the recipes for delicate rose petal jam, lemon drops, rose hip syrup, Battenberg cake and ginger brandy snaps with cardamom cream. Perfect for gift giving and for every well-mannered lady.
