There are nearly 300 million Americans--200 million of them of voting age. We only lost by three and a half million! (Day after the 2004 election) @ Mike's Letter on 11/05/04 @ Michaelmoore.com

Two weeks ago, at the Washington premiere, Moore sat a few rows behind Daschle. Afterward, says Moore, "he gave me a hug and said he felt bad and that we were all gonna fight from now on. I thanked him for being a good sport." (Time Magazine, 7/04) - DASCHLE DENIES HUGGING MOORE (Headline, Rapid City Journal, 7/04)

Comment
Add a CommentMoore tries to find someone to blame for the shooting in school so he targets, Target store and Walmart. It does not take a genius to know that it is the fault of the shooter and if it is a kid then you have to look at the kids environment. Not the bullets. Duh
Good movie, but he shouldn't have made the Oscar acceptance speech that he made! Also, he shouldn't have pestered Charlton Heston like that! I don't agree with the "cold dead fingers" thing either, but the man deserved some privacy!
Don't bother wasting your time...
Very inaccurate, unreferenced. Those here who think: "guns easily available" need rewatch the free gun for new account part--it is Not instant or that easy Nor can "just anyone" qualify. Federal/State/Local laws still apply. He/She should Try It. Go to a dealer--see? Private sales are banned in most states, even Arizona has some catches, and almost banned them, too.
The ending where he tries to "blame" gun violence n the NRA and its peaceful president, Chuck Heston, is ludicrous, unfounded, indolent, and illogical.
Moore is counter-productive here, he does not link the Columbine bullying tragedy with any common sense. There are 20,000 gun laws out there; 20,001 will not stop the determined.
Murder has been illegal 5,000 years. So, do more laws against it stop anyone?
MM needs be held more responsible and show statistics--he can't of course, they would only prove him wrong. He should be banned from producing what is supposed to be: "non-fiction" when it is only disjointed, non-sequiturs of opinion with a nebulous conclusion.
Even if I were a : "gun-hater", common sense would tell me the same about this piece which only served to damage the leftist liberals' anti-gun platform with idiocy. Makes as much sense as Obama denying radicalized Muslims behind San Berdoo violence and crying about : "preponderance of weapons", when he Needed cry about the Victims. See how O and his ex-Black Panther senators, who were imprisoned For gun misconduct, ruined Illinois and made self defense a Crime; and how he attempted to ruin the entire country.
Michael Moore's movie is fraught with inaccuracy, ouright lies, & arguments void of logic.
Very compelling and eye opening! Definitely makes you think!
Interesting film. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
You get an interesting look into violence in America, and how guns are so easily accessible.
