As much as I enjoyed this movie, it did NOT age well. 25-year-old Josie wants to have a magical prom night with a literal teenage boy. Her 23-year-old brother wants to hook up with a teenage girl; when Josie points out that she's sixteen years old, he eagerly replies "and a gymnast!" - this is played for laughs! Not to mention the creep of a teacher who wants to get with someone he believes to be a 17-year-old student. Honourable mention to all the skeevy adults who watch the footage and make lecherous comments about the high school girls.

Never Been Kissed is definitely one of those quintessential 90s movies that makes you feel nostalgic but it doesn't change the fact that it aged like milk.

I thought that the movie, Never Been Kissed, was overall enjoyable, but a bit lacking. The main character was very likeable, and it had an interesting storyline; however, it didn’t leave me in awe. At times it was predictable, or similar to other movies that I have watched. On the other hand, it was a really sweet story, with a happy ending, which makes it more enjoyable. It was funny and entertaining, but lacked a sense of originality. It isn’t my favourite film, but I would recommend it to other viewers, if you are looking for a feel-good, fun movie to watch. @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This movie stars Drew Barrymore in the 90’s, a copywriter who must investigate teenage culture by going to her old high-school and researching the cliques. While there, she reflects back on her own experiences and begins to fall for one of the teachers. I found the movie actually pretty entertaining, and similar to many of the other movies that came out from Drew Barrymore in the 90’s. It has a very cheesy and stereotypical storyline and characters, but still will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I would rate this movie 3.5/5 stars and recommend it to those who like light-hearted rom-coms. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

As cheesy as they come, this Rom Com is definite brain candy.

This is awful ! When I got it home and put it in the DVD says: "NOT FORMATTED FOR THIS REGION" !!??
I have watched thousands of other New York Public Library DVDs on my Panasonic 'Region 1' (ie. for all of North America) DVD Player,.. but about a dozen have come up as NOT FORMATTED etc. !

I really wanted to see this one.
WHY is the New York Public Library buying DVD's that are NOT FORMATTED to be viewed in this region ?

And why does the New York Public Library's Purchasing Department continue to not respond to repeated e-mails sent to them about this problem ??

Has this happened to anyone else out there ?

kinda silly

The story is okay. Many parts fail to have a good reason or believable transition.

Horrible and a waste of time. I wouldn't bother.
