A good film about the Tuskeegee AAF pilot heroes of WW 2 in Italy. What they endured both racially, emotionally and their war experiences. Inspired by true events but historically fictional story.

I recommend it.

This movie is amazing!!!!!!! George Lucas, the film crew, and actors did an amazing job of capturing the men of my father's military group, The Tuskegee Airmen, and the lead character resembles my father USAAC/USAAF Officer/Pilot/Tuskegee Airman - Lt John L. Hamilton (deceased), who was the 1st to receive the Purple Heart Medal of his group the 99th Fighter Squadron after being hit by flak while piloting a plane on a strafing and dive bombing mission. Although the movies of the Tuskegee Airmen feature several of the personalities and activities of them combined into each actor, the characters were a good resemblance. Their military and civilian history is phenomenal and includes them surpassing goals of being college graduates (my father's Bachelor degree was complete during 1941 before he enlisted in the Army and with him majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and also completing teaching and french language studies, which was unheard of back then), diligent professionals with long term careers, mentors, and civil rights and community advocates. Many would not believe this, but there are some Tuskegee Airmen still alive to this day of 01/28/2019 that are over 95 years old. It is best to meet with them and speak with them, you would not believe their humbleness and quick wit.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the interviews with the real airmen that was also included on the DVD.

Bad acting, bad screen writing, bad directing...not the cream of the top involved in making this movie, not worth watching.

It is a shame due to it is a great historical story. It is as if the same forces that created Segregation and banning these brave US American soldiers from parades, honors, and jobs as commercial pilots. ...is still very much alive

Good movie! I am a fighter pilot at heart and I thoroughly enjoyed the dogfights. Special effect by Lucas were good too. This movie tells rather accurately what the Tuskegee Airmen faced.

The first few seconds had me worried....it looked like a CGI video game. But held back from pressing STOP and eventually realized this was a very good movie. The CGI, not perfect, was pretty realistic. The dialogue was sometimes trite, and characters were stock, but despite all that the movie still won me over with it's realism (not too graphic), the fear and risks. One of the best war movies ever.

it was just bad. I fast forward the entire movie.
the only reason I got the movie was to see how me262 are portrayed.
in the movie, the P-51 are shooting down me262 like fly,. utterly nonsense movie

Guess you can watch this movie either as an action movie or as an historical movie. I am a war buff so it is a good action movie based on historical facts, but it does show the real struggle of these airmen. 3 stars for the action movie, 2 stars for the historical content...
