The problem with Coulter, aside from her logic, lack of research, and wealth of logical fallacies, is that she is unable to write. Coulter writes like a near illiterate chipmunk on speed. She changes topics and makes constant category errors, conflating one thing for another, while making unsupported assertions that would be embarrassing to anybody with half a brain. Her only strength is her denial. By pretending to be infallible and making her critic's reasonable counterpoints into a witch hunt, she transforms shoddy prose and poor arguments into a pseudo-religious cult of personality.
There are much better conservative commentators out there. Avoid Coulter.

This web site taught me a very important fact of life: that you don't need to write a comment about an item, but simply bash the author—and, bien sure, the people who give it 5 stars! So, go ahead and bash my comment. (But if you censor it, I will appeal and have it restored, based upon libraries’ beloved principles Freedom of Speech, Freedom to Read, Intellectual Freedom.)
With this book, Ann Coulter taught a very important fact of life. That fact is that on this website, you are not able to give an item a rating of zero stars. What is unknown is 'did so many people leave the stars blank because they were unwilling to give the book even a half star?' See, even with an Ann Coulter book, we can learn a truth, yet still be left with something unknown. I still do not know if Coulter believes her hyperbole, or if she just uses it to make another million dollars. Laughable that the average rating is supposedly 4 stars when 2/3 of the commenters refused to give the book even 1/2 star!
Caution: Paranoid schizophrenia can be contagious. Reading this book may result in disabling mental illness. The author assumes no responsibility.
I tried (I really tried!) to finish this book, but couldn't stomach it. Coulter falls prey to so many of the failings that she accuses her opponents of (e.g., seeing the world as black and white, using empty rhetoric, etc.) and her arguments are soooo opinionated and vitriolic... It's incredible she is accorded any credibility at all...
This book is great. As a former ultra-left-wing liberal from the 60's who gradually saw that the history I was taught wasn't totally correct; and now having to put up with the garbage and outright lies that come from news outlets like MSNBC, this book will turn more than a few heads. This will enlighten with facts and a truthful history lesson, some of the main reasons why our country is now being run by kooks and why the old U.S. of A. is going down the tubes! For anyone on the right, this book will fully load your gun with all the ammo(the truth) that you need when talking to the elites!
She always makes some good points which infuriates the Marxist left -- probably because they can't refute her opinions. As someone in the centre I can't wait to read her latest.
The recent English rioting. Mob action. Ann's point the American Revolution was not the same as the French Revolution is well taken and very interesting. The American Revolution did not have mob rioting. The Boston Tea Party was done in a gentlemanly manor. Who the hell introduced mob riots into the free world? Makes me wonder. Reminds me of a quote by a famous leader of men "What the hell is going on out here!"
Good read. Timely too. Consider the "flash mob" riot that just occurred, but little reported, at the Milwaukee fair thursday 8/4. ------------------------------------------------------
I can't wait to read her new book. Coulter has an outragous sense of humor. Most of the narrow minded masses just can't get the humor. Her continual tweeking the nose of the unknowing is hilarious. She is like a modern Will Rogers, although sometimes she can get a little too aserbic.
Some years back I came to the realization that I've been forced fed lies for years. I just looked around and found that my beliefs did not match my perceptions. My beliefs did not come from wihtin but were someone elses discription of the world. Not a someone, more like a collective. Just a little polishing of my perceptial attention revealed for years I've been forced fed a group think description of reality, not one grown from my perceptural interaction with reality. My fault really. I'm a child of the 60's who is experienced. It's like "Meet the new Boss, same as the old Boss!" Except the new bosses are from my generation.
There are many more like me, waking up. Old but saying wait a minute, this isn't right. For those that can transcend the right wing/left wing BS, Ann Coulter is a gas!
"I don't need to read it to realize how sickening this book may be."
It's a pity that you're willing to cast stones without having read it, Cochocho. And you seem pretty passionate about your own position.
I stomach the likes of Michael Moore, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Janeane Garofalo, and other far left types. I'd think, as a hyphenated-American, you to be a bit broader-minded by reading what the other side is saying.
