Entertaining listen on a road trip. The narrator's rendition of the female characters makes them all sound cranky or whiny, which put a dent in the otherwise great narration.

I like that Box approaches issues from the middle and pokes at both sides of a situation (in this case, eco-terrorism, and environmentalists vs. ranchers).

Some elements felt thrown in there specifically to make the story more complicated/draw it out a bit, but I didn't mind this given the book lasted just long enough for the trip. The story was good, while there was still plenty to sarcastically comment about while listening (which is great when you're listening with a pal).

Box's short soliloquy on the horse... perfect.

I am hoping in book 3 that Joe gets better about keeping firearms ON his person at all times...
