Excellent book and great series. I loved the way the characters in book one and two came together in book three. Highly recommended series by - Doctor-at-Bass! Taylor A.

Teen rated Susan Beth Pfeffer’s ‘This World We Live In’ (2010) - Life as We Knew It Series - Book 3, good but not as good as book 2 in the series. The characters of book one ‘Life as We Knew It’ and two ‘The Dead & the Gone’ come together in Pennsylvania and their struggle to survive continues. The Shade of the Moon’ (2013) Book 4 concludes the series. Recommended by Senior Doctor-at-Bass! D. A.

Too much going on at once. :/

Things get crazy in this continuation of the story that began with Life As We Knew It and The Dead And The Gone, but it doesn’t really matter. Too many people die, too many people fall in love, and too many people have no idea what’s going on, that it doesn’t make any difference what anybody does. When it doesn’t matter which character dies, or which character gets married, or what happens when a decision is made, there’s no reason to go on. A fast read, but not a worthwhile one. The series would have been stronger if it had finished after book two and we didn’t find out what happened.

I think that the book had a lot of sad things in it I know the book is fiction but that the people in this book had to go though these horrible things I encourage people to read it

This book was very emotional and depressing. It really makes you think about what you would do if this happened to the world. At many parts, it almost brought me to tears. Overall, I thought this book was a perfect action and touching book for all teens!
